Vikes to Unveil new Stadium this Sunday

Double Header Jul 15.jpeg

The Blackburn Vikings will unveil the brand new Mullum Mullum Stadium this Sunday in a Big V Double Header.

The world class facility located at the start of Springvale Road in Donvale is a five court facility with a show court with seating for around 500. We would love to pack the place out for our first ever home game!

The first game of the double header sees our Victorian Youth Championship Men taking on Keilor Thunder at 1.00pm. The VYCM feature college prodigy Jake Heath who will play his final game for the season before heading back for his Junior season at college. Jake was recently named Big V Player of the month for the month of June and will be keen to get revenge on Keilor after a close tussle late time.

In the main event, our State Championship Men take on the Keilor Thunder at 3.00pm. The team are playing in their maiden season of State Championship Men and are on a bit of a roll of late winning 3 of their past 5 and have cemented their spot into the competition for 2019 after showing some promising signs for the future. The team features a number of Vikings juniors and are lead by 200 gamer Brendan Trewella who is pacing the team with 16.3 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists a contest.

The club will also honour Bryan Moore's 250th Big V game along with lifelong Vike Michael D'agostino with his 100th Big V game honour.

Tickets are just $6 for adults and $3 for kids. Vikings juniors in their uniform are admitted free of charge! We would love to see as many people wear black and 'Blackout for Blackburn'.
