VJBL First Team Coaches Announced

The Blackburn Vikings are pleased to announce their VJBL 1st Team Coaches for the 2018-19 VJBL season.

Fresh off the Under 12 VC Reserve Grand Final win, Damien Di Cosmo will once again lead the Under 12-1 Boys. Shaun Coghlan will take the. Jack Liebelt will take the reigns of the Under 16-1 Boys, after leading the 18-2 Boys to the Championship in 2018.

In the biggest shake up of the boys program, Victorian Youth Championship Men’s Coach, Glenn Rees will take over the Under 18-1 Boys, a move that will assist the transition of our Under 18 Players directly into the Youth League program.

In the Girls Program, there has only been 1 change made from the successful 2017 with Youth League Women’s Coach Daniel Jaunutis making a return to the junior program at the Under 14-1 team. Aimee Page will look to replicate a great year with the 12-1 Girls, whilst Division 2 Women’s Assistant Hamish Ryan will once again head up the Under 16 Program.

The Under 18-1 Girls will continue their involvement as part of the Senior Program, working with our Youth League and Division 2 teams.

12-1 Girls – Aimee Page
14-1 Girls – Daniel Jaunutis
16-1 Girls – Hamish Ryan
18-1 Girls – Dave Zennaro

Additional teams, including our Under 20s will be announced in the coming weeks.

The club would like to thank our out going coaches for their support, particularly life members Cameron Tomecek and Scott Nicey, and other long time coaches including Rebecca Chan and Steve Woodland.
