VJBL Grand Finals Outcomes

And with that, another VJBL season has ended.

Every year, the Victorian Junior Basketball League brings together the strongest junior rep teams from across Melbourne, running from pre-season in October right through to finals in a true test of consistency, development and teamwork over many months. It's the pathway competition our junior players graduate into once they're ready to test themselves against the best young talent in the state, and a grand final is always the culmination of a long season of hard work both on the court and at training.

This season Blackburn saw 23 teams compete in the VJBL, across every age group from our youngest U12s up to our U20s. Four of those teams made it all the way to grand final day, and what a day it was.

Results

🏆 VJL1 – U20.01 Boys def. Altona Gators — Premiers

🥈 RL3 – U12.03 Boys def. by Melbourne Tigers — Runners Up

🥈 VJL7 – U14.02 Boys def. by Sherbrooke Suns — Runners Up

🥈 VJL4 – U18.01 Girls def. by Westgate Imperials — Runners Up

One premierships and three runners-up finishes is a great return for the club, and a reflection of the work being put in by players, coaches and families across every one of our 23 teams this season — not just the four who made it to the big dance.

Congratulations to everyone involved in what was a fantastic season of Vikings basketball.
