EDJBA & MEBA

Blackburn Vikings enters teams in the EDJBA (Saturday) competition and MEBA (Monday/Friday) competition.

EDJBA and MEBA registration for the SUMMER 2026/27 SEASONS is now open.

The EDJBA runs a “home and away” Saturday competition covering over 50 basketball stadiums in an area ranging from Collingwood through to Eltham and Park Orchards.  Blackburn Vikings home matches are played at Slater Reserve, Mullum Mullum Stadium and Blackburn Primary School.

MEBA - Blackburn Vikings field teams in both the girls’ and boys’ competitions.  Many of the MEBA Monday/Friday games are played at the Nunawading Basketball Centre, Forest Hill Secondary College and Mullauna Secondary College.  There are some other satellite venues where games may occasionally be scheduled.

Basketball Victoria Annual Participant Licence: Each player will be charged an annual fee of $34 (17 years and under) or $48 (over 18 years) in addition to the Blackburn Vikings registration fees. PlayHQ automatically determines when payment of the licence is due. The licence expiry date can be checked in the profile section on PlayHQ. If your licence is due to expire during the upcoming season, you will be charged the $34/$48 at the time of registration so your licence remains valid throughout the season.

Basketball Australian Game Development Levy: Each player will be charged an annual fee of $5.50 in addition to the Blackburn Vikings registration fees. PlayHQ automatically determines when payment of this levy to due. This Player Membership Fee is to support the growth and development of basketball at all levels of the game and to enhance opportunities for the sport.

PlayHQ Service Fee: A service fee to ensure PlayHQ can “continue to build features to make administrators roles easier and elevate the current participant experience”.

UNIFORMS
The new Blackburn Vikings domestic uniform rolled out for the Winter 2026 season. If you did not play the Winter season, you will need to purchase a new domestic uniform.

As BVBA are only holding limited uniform stock, all orders need to be placed in time for them to be received before the season commences.

New Players or those who took a break over the Winter season:
All new players and those returning from an earlier season will require a full uniform package (reversible singlet and shorts) for the Summer 2026-27 domestic season.  We strongly encourage you to place your order and make payment by the first cut-off date of Monday 24th August 10am.

You will be able to order from the sizing chart in the Ordering Form.  Limited appointments have been setup to try-on the new uniform.

Players returning from Winter 2026:
The reversible singlet and shorts are available to be purchased individually should your items need updating.

Important Notes:

  • Please remember, players are not permitted to take the court for the Summer 2026-27 season wearing the old domestic uniform or part of.

  • Player singlet number selection is no longer available. 

Collection of Uniforms:
Collection of uniforms will be in the first or second week of the School Holidays, once teams have been finalised and uniforms have been packaged.  Communication will be sent to you advising your uniform collection times closer to the day.
