Registrations for the Blackburn Vikings VJBL Tryouts will open shortly.
New Player Tryouts: We will run New Player Tryouts for Boys U12, Boys U14 & Boys U16 at the end of Term 3.
BU12 - Sunday 13th September at Slater Reserve. Time: TBC
BU14 & BU16 - Thursday 17th September at Slater Reserve. Time: TBC
These tryouts are compulsory for any players in these age groups who are new to VJBL (have not played VJBL for Blackburn or another association in previous seasons).
Successful players from these sessions will be invited to join our 2026/27 VJBL Tryouts. Any BU12, BU14 and BU16 player who is new to VJBL and does not attend our New Player Tryout will not eligible to progress to the 2026-27 tryouts.
Tryouts for all Girls U12 to U18 and Boys U18: will commence on Sunday 4th October.
U20s Tryouts: Girls and Boys U20s tryout details will be advised at a later date.

All players will need to be registered to attend. We are unable to accept walk-ins.
Players need to attend all tryouts unless advised otherwise.
Please ensure you obtain a Permission to Train (PTT) prior to attending if you have played VJBL elsewhere previously. We are unable to allow players to try out without a PTT. The PTT form will be available from Monday 21st September 2026, via the VJBL website.
Please ensure you bring a drink bottle and the correct size basketball.
All players need to wear a reversible light/dark training singlet. Players can wear their domestic singlet.

Under 12 - 2016, 2017 & 2018 (Eligible players must not turn 12 in 2027)
Under 14 - 2014 & 2016 (Eligible players must not turn 14 in 2027)
Under 16 - 2012 & 2013 (Eligible players must not turn 16 in 2027)
Under 18 - 2010 & 2009 (Eligible players must not turn 18 in 2027)
Under 20 - 2008 & 2009 (Eligible players must not turn 20 in 2029)
Players born in 2019 or later are not eligible to play VJBL in 2026/27
