METRO JAMBOREE SELECTION - CONNOR GOLDSMITH

Congratulations to Connor Goldsmith, who was selected to officiate at Basketball Victoria's 2026 Under-12 Metro Jamboree, held at the State Basketball Centre this past week from 28 September to 1 October.

The Metro Jamboree is one of the first milestones in the Basketball Victoria Metro Pathway, bringing together 120 of metropolitan Melbourne's most promising young players for their first experience of the high-performance pathway. It's a big opportunity for the referees involved too. C1 and C2 grade officials are nominated and selected to attend, where they receive coaching from experienced coaches from across Victoria, take part in workshops focused on developing their craft and how they learn, and get the chance to referee more structured basketball along the elite pathway.

Being selected is a great recognition of the work Connor has put in, and another step forward in his development as an official.

We're looking forward to seeing Connor bring back what he learned to Blackburn, and to continuing to support him as he progresses along his pathway. 🟠⚫
